Why would we consider macbeth a tragic hero

I do think he is a tragic hero because he killed Duncan by Lady Macbeth persuading him and killed Banquo out of his own ambitions.

Step-by-step explanation:

The only reason I don’t think he is a villain after killing Banquo is because he feels guilty for doing so.

A tragic hero is described as a noble character you can empathize with, and whose flaw leads to his demise. The character of Macbeth is noble with his titles of Thane of Glamis and Thane of Cawdor. His tragic flaw is pride that leads to ambition with the help of outside forces.
