If x is -2 you just replace with 6(-2) which means you multiply both numbers giving you a final answer of -12

If x is -2 you just replace 6x with 6(-2) which means you multiply both numbers giving you a final answer of -12 because a positive number multiplied by a negative number is a negative number.
