There are four steps of optimal utilization of land to increase farm produce:
1) Multiple Cropping: In this step, more than one type of crop is grown on the same piece of land throughout the year.
2) Green Revolution: It refers to the use of HYV (High Yelding Variety), by which a larger amount of grains would be produced on a single plant.
3) Use of modern technology: It refers to the use of more modern irrigation systems, threshers, haversters and tractors.
4) Use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides to improve fertility and to lower pest, respectively.
