The idea of wearing uniforms to school is nothing new. Teenagers wear uniforms every day without even realizing it. A survey showed that 87% of 2,500 students wore jeans and a t-shirt to school. Designer jeans were preferred over non-brand jeans by 97% of students. What about students who cannot afford high-priced designer jeans? At least if students wore a uniform, students with little money would not feel out of place.

What is the author's point of view on this topic?

A. School uniforms should consist of designer jeans and t-shirts.
B. Most teenagers would rather wear a uniform to school.
C. Uniforms level out the social strata between the wealthy and the poor.
D. Ninety-seven percent of students strongly oppose being forced to wear a uniform.
