Is there any noticeable bias about the civil war

Short answer, yes. Long answer, After a war to the victor goes the spoils. Meaning the victor takes control and is able to paint a picture using propaganda and politics to justify the war and belittle their old opponent. So, yes after the north won the war they made sure the history book painted them in the best picture.
