B: A demilitarized zone was created between North Korea and South Korea, and soon after a peace treaty was signed.

An armistice was signed on July 27, 1953. This set up a 2-mile wide demilitarized zone at the 38th parallel. In the armistice, South Korea gained 1500 square miles of new territory and the POW's were allowed to stay where they wanted.

Hope that helps.
