\sin T=\frac{oppos.}{\text{hypo.}}

The sine function should be the ratio between the opposite side to the angle T and the hypotenuse (opposite side of the right angle)

∵ The opposite side of < T is VU

∵ The hypotenuse is TU

\therefore\sin T=(VU)/(TU)

∵ VU = 8 and TU = 17

\therefore\sin T=(8)/(17)

To find the angle T use the inverse of the sine

m\angle T=\sin ^(-1)((8)/(17))

But they wrote

m\angle T=\sin ^(-1)((8)/(15))

They use the adjacent side of angle T instead of the hypotenuse

Then, 15 must be changed to 17
