The sixth grade band students are selling magazines to raise money for new instruments. As a reward for selling, the students earn points to spend on prizes. Each student gets 25 points to start with, and then they earn an additional 5 points for each magazine they sell. One student sold enough magazines to earn 100 points. If p represents the number of points that the student already spent on prizes, write an expression to represent the total number of points the student has left. show me all works

The information at the beginning is seemingly irrelevant.

100 - p is your expression, because if he earned 100 points and spent p, he has 100 - p points left to spend.

100 - p = the remaining amount of points left

i don't think theres actually any work ._.
theres no figuring out the number of points he spent nor the amount he still has
Its just one of those questions that just ignores every thing you knew before and just throws it out the window SO YOU DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO ;-;
