To find the area of a square or rectangle we multiply width times height. In this case, the width is 10 meters longer than the height. The width + 10 will give us the height. Then we multiply the width times the height, and that will give us the area.

w(w + 10) = 20,000

The answer is C.

L=W+10

A=LW, using L from above you have:

A=(W+10)W

A=W^2+10W, and area is given to be 20000

They used the W(W+10) equation so:

W(W+10)=20000
