SOLUTION

All we need to do is to substitute the value of m and p respectively into the equation, This can be seen below.


\begin{gathered} mp+p^2 \\ Since\text{ m=2 and p=-}4 \\ \text{This gives} \\ =(2*-4)+(-4)^2 \\ =-8+16 \\ =8 \\ \end{gathered}
