2x-3 = -5x^2

Add 5x^2 to each side

5x^2 +2x-3 = 0

We can factor

(5x - 3 ) ( x+1 ) =0

Using the zero product property

5x-3 =0 x+1 =0

5x = 3 x=-1

x = 3/5 x = -1
