The formula for the area of any rectangle is:
Area=Length x Width
750=y ( y-5)
750=y square-5y
Rotate this equation.
y square-5y=750
y square-5y=750
Let's factorize:
y( y-5 )=750
Two potentially true values of y can be y=750 or y=750-5=745
y=745 ft. Answer.
