The wrapping paper is rectangular in shape.

The formula for the area of the wrapping paper(A) will be

A=\text{length}* width

Given that

\begin{gathered} \text{length}=5\text{feet} \\ \text{width}=2\text{feet} \end{gathered}

Therefore,

\begin{gathered} A=5*2=10ft^2 \\ \therefore A=10ft^2 \end{gathered}

Hence, the area of the wrapping paper is

A=10ft^2
