If they maintain these individual rates, how many minutes faster will Marjorie's half marathon finish time be than Joe's? (A half marathon is a 13 mile race.)

∵ Marjorie runs 8 miles in the time = 52 minutes

∴ Marjorie runs 1 miles in the time =
`(52)/(8)`

∴ Marjorie runs 8 miles in the time =
`(52* 13)/(8)`

= 84.5 minutes

Therefore, times taken less by Marjorie to complete the marathon = 97.5 - 84.5 = 13 minutes.
