SOLUTION

Using cosine rule it follows:

$x^2=3.00^2+2.25^2-3(2.25)\cos110$

Simplify the equation for x

$x=√(3.00^2+2.25^2-3(2.25)\cos110)$

Therefore the required answer is

$x=√(3.00^2+2.25^2-3(2.25)\cos(110))$
