We are given the following expression

Where a = 5 and b = 2

Let us substitute the values of a and b into the above expression

$\begin{gathered} (2a)^2-40b \\ (2\cdot5)^2-40\cdot2 \\ (10)^2-80 \\ (10*10)-80 \\ 100-80 \\ 20 \end{gathered}$

Therefore, the result of the expression is 20.
