Given : measurements of sides of prism a = 11 , b=5 , c=8

To find: Volume of prism

Solution:

Volume of triangular prism = area of triangle x height of the prism

let height of prism = b

area of triangle =

\begin{gathered} (1)/(2)* base* height \\ =(1)/(2)* c* a \\ =(1)/(2)*8*11 \\ =44 \end{gathered}

Now, volume of prism =

\begin{gathered} =44*5 \\ =220 \end{gathered}

Hence, volume of the givne triangular prism is 220
