Silk is $16.90 per yard and cotton is $4 per yard. Here is a system of equations that represent the constraintsin the situation.x + y = 4.2516.90x + 4y = 36.35What does the solution to the system represent?

Vestuary prices are represented by two equations

Silk have higher price than cotton, obviously

Since x is related to higher price 16.90 , then it represents

number of Silk yards buyed.

And since y is related to lower price $4 , then it represents number of cotton yards acquired.
