Which quotation from the Declaration of Independence indicates that the Founding Fathers rejected the idea of having a monarchy in the newly independent colonies?

A. “The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations.”

B. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”

C. “A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.”

D. “[I]t becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another.”

C makes the most sense in this case. The others are about the mistakes of the king, and not really why they rejected the idea of monarchy.
