A golf ball is hit into the air. The path of the ball can be described by the equation h equals 70t - 5 t squared where H is the height of the ball in meters and T is the time in seconds. When will the ball hit the ground?

We want to know when h is equal to 0. This represents when the height is 0 and thus, hits the ground.

Then, 0 = 70t - 5t²
0 = 5t² - 70t
0 = 5t(t - 14)
t = 0 and 14.

So, at t = 0, the initial height is 0 and it hits the ground again after 14 seconds.
