Well, the best way I know is by changing the fraction into a decimal (and in order to do that, divide the Numerator by the Denominator. After, do 3-4 which is -1 and 3/5 (0.6)-1/2 (0.5).

Answer is 0.9

3/ 5 = 6/ 10.

1/2. = 5/10


3 6/10. - 4 5/10
