The sample space is give by multiplying all the options available.

Number of animals = 4

Type = 2

So 4 x 2 = 8 = number of elements of sample space

The total ammount of outcomes must match the number of elements of sample space so to speak, 8 outcomes.

For each animal can be cartoon or realistic.

4 animals x 2 types = 8 outcomes.

Answer: first option to the left.
