According to the given data we have the following:

Each rod weighs 24 oz

henc, weighs of each rods= 15 *24oz=360 oz.

In order to calculate the total weight of the rods in pounds we would have to make to make the following calculations:

16 oz= 1 lb, hence:

\frac{16\text{ oz}}{1\text{ lb}}=1\text{ and }\frac{1\text{ lb}}{16\text{ oz}}=1

Therefore:

360\text{ oz}*\text{ }\frac{\text{1 lb}}{16\text{ oz}}=(360)/(16)lb=22(1)/(2)lb

Therefore, 360 oz= 22 1/2 lb

Therefore, the total weight of the rods in pounds is: 22 1/2 pounds
