Complete the square and rewrite the following quadratic function in vertex form: x^2-14x=-25. What is the correct vertex form of the quadratic equation?

x^2-14x=-25

To complete the square

Take the coefficent of the x term

-14

Divide by 2

-14/2 = -7

and square it

(-7)^2 = 49

Add this to both sides

x^2 -14x +49 = -25+49

(x-7)^2 = 24
