solid :
arrangement: tightly or closely packed molecules with no or slight intermolecular space
motion: the molecules cannot move randomly... the free electrons may move around inside the substance
energy : electrons posses kinetic energy(which is not sufficient for them to leave the surface)
liquid:
arrangement: loosely packed molecules.. there is much intermolecular space than solids
motion: the molecules fit in according to the shape and size of the container in which they are and move in there freely
energy: they possess kinetic energy as well
gas:
arrangement: intermolecu;ar space is very large which means there is lease intermolecular attraction
motion: they move around randomly or haphazardly wherever they can..
energy : kinetic energy is also possessed by the molecules
The vigorous vibrations or the energy of the molecules can be increased by imparting some other kind of energy like heat or light .Higher temperature would increase their volume
