Which statements about the formulas for finding area are true? Check all that apply.

The area formulas for a triangle and a parallelogram require multiplying base by height.
A triangle and parallelogram with the same base and height will have the same area.
A rectangle and parallelogram with the same base and height will have the same area.
The area formula of a trapezoid requires finding the product of the bases.
The base of a triangle is always the shortest side.

A is correct because paralelgram = b*h and triangle = 1/2 * b * h

Also a rectangle and parallelogram as described in C have same area

Answer:

The area formulas for a triangle and a parallelogram require multiplying base by height.

A rectangle and parallelogram with the same base and height will have the same area (they have the same formula).

Explanation:

area formula for a triangle: base*height/2

area formula for a parallelogram: base*height

(see pictures attached)

A triangle and parallelogram with the same base and height will have the same area. This is false because the formulas are different.

area formula for a rectangle: base*height

The area formula of a trapezoid requires finding the product of the bases. It is false because it requires the average base.

area formula for a trapezoid: (a+b)/2 * h (see picture attached)

The base of a triangle is always the shortest side. This is false because the base could be any side of triangle. In fact, you can rotate a triangle an change its base.
