A male landscaper purchased 27 junipers at $8 each and some boxwood for $12 each. If he spent $432, how many boxwoods did he purchase?

So he bought 27 junipers for $8. 27x 8= 216. So then you would subtract 432-216=216. Then you would divide 216÷12=18. Your answer is he bought 18.

i believe you use division. the question states he bought some boxwood for $12 each, and had a total of $432. you divide 432 by 12 to find the exact amount of how many boxwood were purchased.
The answer should be 36
