I am not sure if you were after condensation. To liquify a gas, you need to pressurize it. As you increase the pressure of the gas, its temperature rises. If you can remove this extra heat that is being generated, the gas will liquify.

When a gas changes directly into a solid without undergoing vaporization, the process is called deposition.

Choose which seems more correct to you :) It is most likely condensation.

it's called condensation and the reverse is called evaporation..
