B. The churches were the ones with the most power, besides the king/queen. Many people believed that the popes and priests were sent directly sent from God to help cleanse the world, therefore most people basically believed the pope/priests word to be truth and fair. The church could influence how people saw a kind or queen simple by saying that God saw the king or queen as unjust and wrong.
