Dasha wants to buy three tickets for a concert. She has earned $135 and each ticket
costs $50. She borrows the rest of the money she needs from my mother and buys
the tickets.

Explanation:

If each ticket costs 50 then for three tickets, Priya needs 3*50=150

However, since she earned 135, then she's less 150-135=15

The best way to present the money she borrowed is

y=50x-135

Where x is the number of tickets bought

As each ticket costs $50 and she wants to buy 3 tickets.

3*$50= $150 (total amount)

And, 135/50= 2.7 (no. of tickets)

3 tickets would be of ($135+$15)= $150.

Therefore it will be -$15
