Answer:

During photosynthesis, some excess water evaporates from the surface of the leaves, becoming water vapor. The water vapor in the process of transpiration travels into the atmosphere and becomes part of the water cycle, in the same way as evaporated water from lakes, rivers and oceans.

Plants draw in water from the atmosphere and soil, and they discharge it naturally through transpiration, the tail end of photosynthesis, when water vapor and oxygen are released into the air. The amount of water that plants give up depends on how much carbon dioxide is present in the atmosphere
