Read the following exchange between Romeo and Juliet from act I of Romeo and Juliet. What does the excerpt reveal about the love between the two young people?

ROMEO: (to JULIET) If I profane with my unworthiest hand
This holy shrine, the gentle fine is this:
My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand
To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.

JULIET: Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much,
Which mannerly devotion shows in this;
For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.

ROMEO: Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?

JULIET: Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer.

I believe it would be D. Their love is instant and illogical.

Essentially, Romeo sees Juliet and instantly he is in love with her, so he approaches her, and talks about touching and kissing her. There is no mention of their families, intelligence, or emotions really. It is physical, instant, and crazy.

I hope this is correct and helps you! Good Luck!!!
