Shaded area = Area of circle - 2(area of one triangle)

The circle has radius 5 cm, so its area is
\pi 5^2=25\pi

The triangle has a base of 6 cm. Two of its legs coincide with the radius of the circle, which means the height of the triangle must be 5 - 1 = 4 cm. So one triangle's area would be
\frac12*6*4=12.

Shaded area =
25\pi-2(12)=25\pi-24.
