Executive Order 13237 is the President's direction to all federal agencies to strengthen protections against trafficking in federal contracts by calling for stronger prohibitions on contractor engagement in human trafficking-related activities.
This Executive Order establishes the President's Council on Bioethics whose mission consists on advice the President on bioethical matters that may appear as a consequence of advances in biomedical science and technology. His functions are: assume fundamental review into the human and moral significance of developments in biomedical and behavioral science and technology; explore specific ethical and policy questions linked to these developments; provide a forum for a national discussion of bioethical issues; simplify a better understanding of bioethical issues; and sightsee possibilities for convenient international collaboration on bioethical issues.
