What is a y intercept? Like in a equation as shown, y=mx+b. I know that the m is the slope. I have a test tomorrow and any god's angel who answers in dept will be highly-appreciated.

A Y-intercept is a term used when calculating slope. the Y-intercept is fairly straightforward. it is where the line on the graph intercepts the y axis.
