We need for the resulting equation to have no solution.

For the equation to have no solution, we should have the same number of x on both sides of the equation.

In this case, on the left side, we have 8x-3x-x which results in 4x, so we should also have 4x on the right:

This is so that when we try to solve for x, all of the terms with x will cancel each other, and thus have no solution.

Now, for the second blank space, we can have any number from 0 to 9. I will put 5 but it can be any number (except 2 because its already on the left side):

Answer: 8x-3x+2-x = 4x+5
