Throughout Abigail's entire life she faced discrimination because of the social canons that spurred around women throughout that time. Women were seen as less, and weren't given much of an opportunity to have a good education, high authority in unions, and always had low societal roles in society. Throughout that time many if not all women faced issues. Women were greatly discriminated.
