An emperor penguin is 45 inches tall. It is 24 inches taller than a rockhopper penguin. Write and solve an equation to fi nd the height of a rockhopper penguin. Is your answer reasonable? Explain. PLEASE HELP

you could say 45 inches minus 24 inches to get 21 inches. this means the rockhopper is 21 inches tall. this is reasonable because you have the measurement of the emperor penguin and you know exactly how much shorter the rockhopper penguin is than the emperor. if you have any questions, ask me in the comment section

r=45-24=21 inches tall.

The answer is reasonable, because if an emperor penguin is 45 inches tall. You subt. 45-21=24 inches taller than the rockhopper penguin.
