The length of a rectangular banner is 5 feet longer than its width. if the area is 84 square​ feet, find the dimensions.

length = w+5
A = l x w
84 = w +5 x w
84 = w² + 5w
w = -12 or w = 7
Since you can't have a negative length W=7
Length = 7+5
length = 12
Width= 7
