In the ramp, the force decomposes into two components. A component that is parallel to the ramp and a component that is perpendicular to the ramp. Now the force must be greater or equal to the parallel component of the ramp therefore, the amount of force required must be less. Therefore, the ramp makes it easier by decreasing the amount of force required to move the object.
