We are asked to calculate the ratio between the vacation days and the working weeks. To calculate this ratio, we simply divide vacation time (8 days) by the working weeks (24). So we get

(8)/(24)=(4)/(12)=(1)/(3)

This means that for every worked week, you earn 1 day of vacations.
