The length of an arc LM is given by the formula:

\begin{gathered} L=(\theta)/(360)*2\pi r \\ \theta=72^0 \\ r=1\text{ unit} \end{gathered}

Hence,

\begin{gathered} L=(72)/(360)*2\pi*1 \\ =(1)/(5)*2\pi \\ =(2\pi)/(5) \\ =0.4\pi \\ \\ \text{Hence, the length of the arc in terms of }\pi\text{ is 0.4}\pi \end{gathered}
