Ms. Williams bought 70 shirts for $350.00. What was the unit cost? What fraction is equivalent to the unit cost?

we know that

to find out the unit cost, divide the total cost by the number of shirts

so

(350)/(70)=(35)/(7)=\$5\text{ per shirt}

the unit cost is $5 per shirt

an equivalent fraction is 35/7 or 5/1
