Explanation:

Terry bought the bike at $168 after using a coupon that reduced the price by 20%.

The sales price was therefore:

= 168/ (1 - 20%)

= $210

The sales price which is $210, was gotten after a 40% discount was applied on the original price.

Assume that original price was x:

x - (x * 40%) = 210

x - 0.4x = 210

0.6x = 210

x = 210/0.6

= $350
