No, I do not Romans loved battling as entertainment so I think they would love the pain of others suffering

Romans enjoyed comedies because they wanted something to take their minds off of their struggles in life. Oftentimes the comedy they sought was in the form of gladiator fights bc they enjoyed the pain of others.
