Now go match that, you young pups, and straightaway

I'll hurl you another just as far, I swear, or even farther!
All the rest of you, anyone with the spine and spirit,
Step right up and try me – you've incensed me so.

This passage is from Book VIII, Revelations, when the King of Alcinous said that the Phaeacians would gather for the Olympics, where disciplines were boxing, jumping, wrestling, or discarding. There the king began to tell Odysseus that he would be able to speak when he arrived home, as far as Phaeacians surpassed the world. In fact, the King began to provoke Odyssey, who, after some of the discipline was completed, was on the line to throw the disc, Odyssey throwing the disk far better than the previous, said this passage.

The answer is: C. Odysseus
