let's just make 15 students a group. how many groups are there if there r 135 student? 135/15 = 9 groups.
so if each group have 4 adults just multiply 9 by 4,
therefore there will be 36.adults.

Answer:

There would be 36 adults on the field trip.

Explanation:

Given,

There are 4 chaperone for every 15 students who attend a school field trip,

So, the ratio of the chaperone and students =
(4)/(15)

Let there are x chaperone for 135 students,

So, the ratio of the chaperone and students =
(x)/(135)

\implies (x)/(135)=(4)/(15)

15x = 4* 135

x=(4* 135)/(15)=4* 9=36

Hence, there would be 36 adults on the field trip.
