The ratio of dogs to cats at an animal shelter is 33 to 22. how many dogs are at the shelter if there is a total of 3030 animals?

I think you doubled them

ratio of dogs to cats=3:2

30 animals total

3+2=5 units
30=5unit
divide by 5
6=1unit

dogs=3 unit
6=1unit
times 3
18=3unit=dogs

18 dogs
