b. Briefly explain ONE way the idea of imperialism relates to the views expressed in the text excerpt.
The same idea of Manifest Destiny is also an expression of imperialism, since the firepower of the United States would be important for the imposition of its economic and cultural structures around the world.
c. Briefly explain ONE event or idea from the period 1890–1905 that could be used to support or refute the views expressed in the document.
One event that marks these two ideas is the US domination of Cuba during the turn of the nineteenth century to the twentieth.
