This is the ideas of John Locke a enlightenment thinker in Europe. The enlightenment age was an age of questions people looked at what was going on in their life and started questioning it and the two things that were questioned the most were the Church and the King/Queen. John thought that people were not evil and had the right to life, to be free, and to be happy. Hope this helps
